Service Agreement and Policies

Use of services by Flipz Pet Care constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions:
We require a name, address, phone number, email and payment method to provide service. This ensures we have multiple ways to contact you if there is an issue with your pet. At least one emergency contact must be provided. We will only use client information to provide services, and process payments.
Unless otherwise specified, rates do not include NYC Sales tax. In accordance with NY state and city regulations, we are required to collect sales tax at the rate of 8.875%.
A small fee may be added to your statement to facilitate the use of SCOUT software.
Use of services by Flipz Pet Care constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions:
Flipz Pet Care agrees to provide reliable pet sitting, dog walking, and dog training services. Herein, the term “service provider” will refer to the pet care associate directly providing services to the above client. In the event that the assigned pet care associate becomes unable to provide these services on the specified dates, services may be provided by another associate. In this case, the entirety of this agreement also applies to the given associate wherever it would apply to the assigned pet care associate. In poor or hazardous conditions, walks may be shorter, and may be supplemented with indoor playtime. Any additional services must be mutually agreed upon at the time of the request.
The client grants permission to the service provider, or associate, to enter their property in order to provide service. The client also grants the service provider the right to use their own judgment in determining what qualifies as hazardous conditions, and to alter walking times or lengths due to perceived danger that might harm either a companion animal, or the service provider. The client also agrees to authorize the service provider to handle any emergencies that may arise. The service provider will make every effort to contact the client in case of an accident or emergency. In the event the client cannot be contacted, the client authorizes the service provider to use their best judgment and to be available at an hourly rate of $30 to oversee the circumstances.
IMAGE CONSENT AND WAIVER
As part of services, the service provider may photograph, or take videos of the client's pet(s). Digital copies may be distributed to the client through a mobile app, online website, email, text message, or any other distribution method. The client recognizes that all images and videos taken by the service provider remain the sole property of Flipz Pet Care LLC. The client consents to the publishing and distribution of their pet(s)'s images on social media, marketing materials, website design, printed materials, and any other media by the service provider or any representative of Flipz Pet Care. The client waives all rights to ownership, payment, or royalties for the use of these images.
The service provider agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against the service provider, unless arising from gross negligence on the part of the service provider.
The client recognizes that the service provider cannot be held responsible for animals that cause damage to furniture, carpet, flooring/woodwork, walls, etc.. In addition, the service provider is not responsible for animals that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty screens, doors, or from faulty leads, collars, etc. The service provider agrees to protect the client’s pets from any injury to the best of their ability, however will not be held responsible for accidental injury beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to, accidents due to unlawful individuals, or off-leash animals.
Services, including walks, must be scheduled in advance. If the service schedule changes on a weekly basis, the requested schedule must be submitted by FRIDAY AT 6PM, before the service week begins. In the case of reoccurring appointments on a weekly schedule, the client must maintain a minimum of two walks per week in order to hold their place in the schedule. If the client consistently cancels a reoccurring appointment, it may be forfeited to become available to another client.
In case of extreme or unsafe weather or air quality conditions, Flipz Pet Care may not be able to provide service. You will be notified prior to weather cancellations.
If NYC public schools, roads, or public transit systems are closed due to unsafe weather conditions, you can expect that services will be canceled for that day. Services will not be provided during hurricanes, blizzards, floods, or during a tornado watch. Services will also be canceled or limited where extreme temperatures or air pollution make it unsafe for staff to work outside during service hours.
Payments are due on or before the Tuesday following the service date. Invoices are billed weekly for a 7 day billing cycle.
Overdue invoices will be subject to a late payment fee if not paid within one week of the due date. Additional late fees will be added for each week the invoice remains unpaid.
If invoices are consistently paid late, service may be interrupted until the client's balance is paid in full.
Cancellation Policy for Dog Walking: We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to cancel a dog walking appointment. Clients who have reoccurring appointments must keep a minimum of two days of walks per week to hold their spot. Clients are allowed a maximum of four weeks of cancelations per year. Failure to provide adequate notice or exceeding the maximum limit of cancelations may result in additional fees or the termination of services.
Cancellation Policy for Private Dog Training Appointments, Cat Sittings, and Puppy Visits: We require a minimum of 72 hours notice for cancelations of private dog training appointments, cat sittings, and puppy visits. Clients who cancel less than 72 hours in advance will be charged the full cost of the canceled services.
Cancellation Policy for Dog Boarding and Overnight Visits:
For bookings from January through November, we require a 50% deposit or a valid credit card on file in order to book. If the client cancels less than 14 days from the start of the booking, they will be charged 50% of the total cost of the booking. If the client cancels less than 7 days in advance, they will be charged 60% of the total cost of the booking. If the client cancels less than 72 hours in advance, they will be charged 100% of the total cost of the booking.
For bookings in the month of December, a 60% deposit is required and will be refunded only after services are provided and paid for. A minimum of 60% of the total cost of the booking will be charged for all cancellations for the month of December, regardless of the advance notice.
Notification refers to written, text, email, or voice messages that have been confirmed as received by the service provider. Timing of notification for cancellation purposes shall be determined by the time stamp of a text message, email, or call when sent during the posted office hours. If a notification is sent outside office hours, it will be considered received during office hours on the following business day.
RESPONSIBILITY OF PAYMENT: Clients are responsible for full payment of all services provided, including cancellation charges, even if future services are canceled. The service provider reserves the right to terminate services for the client for any reason, at any time.

We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.
